The world we live in is so full of negativity and if you aren’t actively trying to push the negativity away and be positive, then your mind will default into negative thinking simply because of the environment.
Negativity influences your life. Your subconscious never turns off and can’t distinguish between fantasy and reality. So when you have negative influences in your environment, it will have a negative impact on your life.
So what can you do to help insure that negativity isn’t creeping into you life?

1. Avoid The News
News outlets like TV, the news paper and social media news feeds are sources of negativity. Here is why. The goal of the news isn’t to inform you. The goal of the news is to get ratings. Ratings bring advertisers and advertisers bring money.
The news has found out that airing things that are negative will keep the general public watching and increase the ratings. Negative news isn’t really important for us to know and ultimately does not serve us. There are certain things that aren’t negative that the news will inform you of but the news will try to keep you engaged by airing negativity. If you need to know the latest sports score or the weather, then don’t use the news to get that information. By doing so, you will get introduced to all the negativity. Instead get the information directly from the source like a weather app on your phone or the sports league direct website. You’ll be surprised how much better you feel and how much better you sleep when you keep all of the unimportant negative information away from your subconscious.
2. Negative Posts On Social Media
Social media gives people a chance to voice their opinion and complain. There’s 2 things you need to keep in mind about this.
-don’t start any negativity on social media.
-?don’t contribute to negativity in social media.
Complaining doesn’t serve anyone. Some people would rather complain about their situation rather than do something about it.
Don’t be the person that starts the negativity. It doesn’t serve anyone to bad mouth others and throw some shade on them. Instead of complaining, focus on what you are most grateful for. Remember that thoughts become things. Whatever you focus on, you will manifest more of in your life. If you focus on negativity you’ll get more of it in your life. If you focus on gratitude, you’ll get more blessings.
When you encounter negativity in your social media feed, just ignore it and keep scrolling. You don’t need any of that negative energy in your life. Sadly, this is not what many people do. Many people actually feed the negativity by contributing to the conversation and approving of the negativity that the poster had shared.
They’ll add in snide comments like:
That’s exactly what I would’ve done.
Some people are so selfish. If I was there, I would have…
Don’t be part of the problem.
These 2 ways of avoiding negativity can make big changes in your life in a short period of time. It’s amazing how much better you feel and how much extra time you have when choose to pay more attention to the positive things, rather than negative things.
