Team Building
Have you ever wondered how you could get the very most out of your company sponsored events? Events like Global Conventions or regional trainings.

Taking advantage of company sponsored events when you are team building is important to build momentum. If you don’t know how to get momentum and if you don’t work your business with the specific steps to gain momentum then you’ll get very frustrated.

That’s why most 95% of Network Marketers quit!

Building For The Event
To really get the most out of a company event for team building is to get as many people to the event as possible. This included both team members as well as guests.

The way to get more guests at the event is to tell your team to build for it but also recruit for the event so that new team members will build and invite their guests to the event.

I used to make the mistake of using the event as a closing tool when I was team building. If I had prospect that was interested and we were a couple weeks or a couple days away from the event, I would tell them to come to the event and I would hope that the excitement would close the prospect for me.

I’ve made a very big and a very important change to how I use company events when I am team building. Now when I have a prospect that is interested in joining the team, I use the event as urgency. I say, “You want to get started now and invite many people as you can to this company convention.”

“Don’t invite to recruit, recruit to invite.”

Do you see the difference? Instead of getting my prospect to the event as guest, I would get my prospect to come as new business owner and have them bring their own guests.

Be unreasonable.

The biggest reason why someone is “revived” and gains momentum in network marketing is because they attend a company sponsored event. They get inspired by the stories and they get motivated by the training.  It’s rare that someone may be at home and they will just spontaneously decide that they want to start taking their business seriously.

With that in mind. Talk to ALL of your team. Call them on the phone. Don’t just send out an email. Call them! Ask them if they are coming. If they say they can’t go, be unreasonable.  It doesn’t matter if the event cost hundreds of dollars and they have to fly overseas and get a hotel room. Say: “How can we get you there?” Getting them to a company sponsored event is the best thing that you can do for someone that is just “down and out” in the business.

After the event
The most important thing that you can do for team building is what you do after the event. Take what ever new information that you learned along with the inspiration that you gained from the leaders and the testimonials and produce.

Produce, produce, produce.

Inspire your team with results. Make sure that they know that your new action and production is a direct result of the information that you learned from this event. While you are at it, help all of your team mates produce that WERE at the event. Make sure that all of the teammates that could not make it are aware that the new production was a direct result of attending the event.

This will make more people want to come to the next big company event and it will make team building easier next time.

If you do these 2 things at your company’s next big event, team building will be easier, more effective and more importantly more lucrative.

Create a great day!
