I recently had a question from one of my subscribers. He asks
How can I network if I don’t have experience?
This is a great question. I know that I have readers that aren’t new to network marketing but if they are growing their business then they will recruit people that are new everyday.
Everyone starts with no experience. The big trainer at your company event had to start somewhere so here are 2 things that you should know.
1. Follow your company system
If your company has a system then follow it to without deviation.
Don’t try to reinvent the wheel and make your company system better.
Don’t try to explain the comp plan or the company products.
Your company system isn’t perfect, you’ll find things that are wrong with it. But one thing for sure about your company system. It works.
You should use the company tools and the company system to answer your prospect’s questions.
It save you time and it makes it look very easy to duplicate.
Even if you know the answer to your prospect’s question don’t answer it yourself.
Resist the urge the answer your prospect’s question and let the company tools do it for you. If you let the company tools do all the telling and selling for you, then the process will look easier for your prospect.
If you resist the urge to answer your prospect’s questions yourself and let your company’s tools and systems answer them for you, your prospect will think, “Wow. This is pretty simple, if anyone has any questions, I’ll be able to use the company videos and tools and they’ll answer the questions for me. I can do that!” , instead of thinking, “This is pretty technical, Kenny must have studied a lot to be able to answer all of my questions. I’m not sure if I can do this”
Make sure that the company tools that you are sharing are easily digestible. Don’t give them a 2 hour video. Give them a 5 or a 15 minute video.
2. Get a story as quick as you can.
Take massive action in the beginning and start your story. You are in an airplane you want to take off. This is not the time to “just try it out” or go half way. If you do that, you’ll never leave the runway. You want to make some money in a short period of time. This will build credibility and give you confidence.
It would be nice if you can get a story with in your first week of network marketing but for most that are reading this article it’s too late. Instead take action now and build a story as fast as you can.
You might not be able to say, “I’ve been in the company now for 1 week and these are my results” but you will be able to say, “I’ve taken this business seriously for the last week and here are my results.
