When you first start, they say to call your warm market
But eventually it’s going to run out and you will need to do something to generate income before the attraction marketing  kicks in. A great way to generate income is through cold calling.

Many people get nervous when they cold call.
Here are 3 things that you can do to really build your confidence.

1. Practice, Practice, Practice

The more you do something the more comfortable you’ll be at executing it.

Take your script and practice it.
Read it out loud.
Say it a couple different ways.
Record yourself and listen to yourself so you’ll know where you need work.
Have your fellow team mates and upline listen to you and give you advice.

It’s not always what you say, it’s how you say it.

2. Get lots of leads
Every call is practice.
Get yourself lots of leads.
This is cold calling, you can call anyone, you can call realtor signs, you can call bulletin boards, you can call classified ads. There are thousands of entrepreneurs that are advertising their business everyday because they want to make more money. So call them.

Ideally, you want to be in a situation where you have more leads than you have time to call. When a prospect says “no” you’ll have enough posture to move on to the next person.

3. Divorce yourself from the outcome
If you have lots of leads, it’s a lot easier to not be addicted to the outcome. You’ll stop convincing people and you’ll start qualifying people. You’ll realize that it really is a numbers game. He (or she) that talks to the most people wins.

It’s not always what you say, sometimes it’s how you say it and sometimes it’s just the prospect and the timing in their life.

If it’s not the right timing or the prospect just isn’t a good fit, don’t spend any more time with them. Move on to the next person that does want help.
