Network Marketing Success Tips For Beginners
Most Network Marketers end up quitting within their first 90 days.
If you are still in your first 90 days, then you need to know these 4 things. If you’ve made it past the 90 day mark, then a big congratulations to you. If you are doing things properly, you’ll have new people on your team that are still inside of their 90 days and they’ll need to know these tips.
#1 – It costs money
Network Marketing is a business and it costs money. It costs more than what most people think. If you think that you can just come in and pay for a $49 starter kit and you’ll start making money, you are mistaken. Yes it is possible to start that way, it’s just not probable. It takes a very special and driven person to get started for $49 and make it to a full time income. Are you type of person? Many people think they are but they are not.
It will cost more than your initial investment and your auto-ship.
Even if you came in with the “Big Kahuna” package of $1500 and you have tons of inventory, it will always costs more money. It will cost more than your auto-ship as well. All businesses have some type of monthly overhead. You might not have to pay for employees, rent or utilities but you’ll have marketing materials, you’ll have to educate yourself with trainings and global and regional trainings.
MLM is a business. Work it like a business and it will pay you like a business. Workit like a hobby it will cost you like a hobby.
#2 – Be patient with your results but not with your actions
If you joined just to try and to see if it works, you are just wasting your time and money. Slow and steady does not win this race.
If you are going to have any chance at making this business a success you will have go full speed ahead. Full speed doesn’t mean quitting your job and working this 20 hours a day. It does mean working it with a full time attitude. When you are working the business, you are doing income producing activities. You are not spending most of your time, pushing paper around a desk, procrastinating and studying. You’ll have more success talking to just 5 – 10 people a day than you will spending 30 minutes learning your comp plan or learning how to prospect.
The thing about network marketing is that you can’t tell when you are getting closer to the goal. It’s like “playing football in the fog”. You could be 1 foot from the goal and you just need to give one big push make a touch down. Too many people quit before they make it.
#3 – You will have “haters”
Network marketing is not the traditional path. Many of your friends and family will say “no” to the opportunity. Not only will they say “no”, some people will even criticize you.

Some will criticize you because either they or someone they know have tried MLM and failed in the past. Some will criticize you simply because they don’t agree with it. Others will criticize you in a loving way because they “don’t want you to get hurt”. #4 – People Don’t Buy What They Need
Your company may have a product that everyone SHOULD buy.
You have an awesome product/service and everyone NEEDS it.
Just because someone needs it doesn’t mean they will buy it. People will instead buy what they want.
Everyone needs to buy organic fruits and vegetables. However, not every does buy them.
Nobody needs to buy Big Macs from McDonalds. However people buy them everyday.
More people buy Big Macs rather than organic fruits and vegetables.
