Read Every Day
There are books that I read from everyday that have made a number of tremendous, positive changes in my life. For the purposes of this post, I will not include any religious scriptures. If you read religious scriptures like The Bible, I encourage you to keep reading them.
Reading everyday is a good habit. What you read will have an impact on. your destiny.
“You will be the same person in five years as you are today except for the people you meet and the books you read.” ~Charlie “Tremendous” Jones
So what are the books that I read from on a daily basis?
Heads up: I’m offering a free audio mp3 so you can learn 6 Law of Attraction Life Hacks that will allow you to implement the Law of Attraction everyday in an effortless way.
1. Dream Book
If you watched or read The Secret then you’ll remember the concept of a vision board. A dream book is the same as a vision board except that it’s in book format. Having a habit of doing affirmations and visualizing everyday is a simple way for you to intentionally harness the law of attraction. A dream book will help you with that. I like having a dream book instead of a vision board because it’s portable. I can’t bring my vision board on vacation with me, but I can certainly bring my dream book. I made a post about my dream book you can see it here: http://kennysantos.com/the-book-you-need-to-read-every-day/
The book is split into 2 parts. The first part is a story and the second part are the 10 Ancient Scrolls. The whole idea with these scrolls, is that you are to read each scroll 3 times a day for 30 days. You spend the first 30 days with the first scroll and then you move on to the next scroll. It will take you 10 months to complete all scrolls. It seems like a daunting and tedious task at first, but once you do it for a little while, it becomes a habit. Many who finish all 10 scrolls choose to start over from the first scroll. They do this I definitely. The knowledge contained within each scroll is invaluable. They will teach you things like persistence, taking action and living with love in your heart. Since you spend 30 days with repeating each scroll, these concepts are programmed into your mind. It’s quite powerful. I did a book review about this wonderful book and you can read it here: http://kennysantos.com/the-greatest-salesman-in-the-world-by-og-mandino-a-book-review/
3. Traveler’s Gift
The Traveler’s Gift by Andy Andrews
Andy is my favorite author. I was introduced to his writing from a “staff pick” shelf at Barnes and Noble in Salt Lake City. The Traveler’s gift is very similar to The Greatest Salesman In The World. They both contain inspiring stories and they both contain literature that the author instructs you to read on a daily basis. Instead of the 10 Ancient Scrolls, Andy’s book has the 7 Decisions. He encourages you to read each decision 2 times a day for 21 days. You spend the first 21 days with the first decision and then move on to the next one. It will take 7 x 21 days to complete all of the decisions. I don’t read each decision for 21 days, I actually read them for 30 days each. I find it easier to keep track that way. There is actually an 8th decision that Andy added in a sequel book called The Final Summit I did a book review on both of these books, you can find them here:
Note: I don’t read both The Traveler’s Gift and The Greatest Salesman In The World each day. I spend 10 months reading the scrolls and then 8 months reading the decisions and then I go back to the scrolls again.
These are books that I read from on a daily basis. They have been instrumental in my personal development and my happiness.
