How do you know whom you should be spending your time with?
I used to spend time with everybody.
I would sit down, one on one or in meetings trying to train anyone on my team that would listen.
I found that in many cases, I wanted success for them more than they wanted it for themselves.
I thought it was my fault.
I didn’t inspire them enough.
I didn’t motivate them enough.
After watching successful leaders and how they worked with their teams, I found this out.
“The amount of time you spend with someone does not dictate how much action they will take, or the amount of money they will make.”
So how can I tell the difference between someone who is motivated and someone who just THINKS they are motivated?
Give them assignments.
After you recruit a rep, ask them if them how serious they are.
If they say they are, (they always do) then give them a simple assignment and tell them to call you back.
What kind of assignments?
-Make a list of potential customers and potential business owners and then give me a call.
-listen to this training CD and give me a call
-watch these videos and give me a call.
Don’t give them all of the assignments. Just give them one.
You’ll be able to tell who is serious about growing their business.
After they complete one assignment, give them another and then another.
If they need some help, it’s ok to spend SOME time with them but it’s best to make your training systems oriented.
It’s easier to grow that way.
Now you don’t have spend your time with the wrong people.
We would all love it if all of our team would get to work and build awesome lives for themselves but that just won’t happen. Some people just don’t want it bad enough.
Create a great day!
