Try Saying This Before You Prospect Someone

There is definitely an art and a science to prospecting. Like any skill, the more you do it, the better you get and the more comfortable you are.

Many network marketers actually know how to invite and they know how to qualify a prospect but they need to know how to set it up.

Brain Freezing
Brain freezing is a statement or a question that will get your prospect’s full attention so that you can ask them a prospecting question. Brain freezing can work in all instances that you prospect: online chatting, on the phone or face to face.
If you begin your prospecting with a brain freezing question, you’ll get better results.

What does it do?
Brain freezing when you are prospecting does 2 things
1. It gets their attention
2. It opens your prospect’s mind

It’s important that when you are prospecting someone that they are giving you their full attention and also doing so with an open mind.
We all know that feeling of prospecting someone when they are closed minded and it isn’t pleasant.
When you brain freeze someone, they will lean forward and listen to you intently with an open mind.
Brain freezing doesn’t sound weird to the prospect when you do it, it just sounds like regular conversation. It actually might be something that you already do some of the time but if after seeing this video and reading the blog post, you’ll be more aware to do it all of the time.

Brain Freezing for Warm Market
My favorite brain freeze for warm market is to ask them, “Do you trust me?”
Whenever someone hears those 4 words, they are expecting something very important to be shared next. This brain freeze will only work on the warm that actually trust you. Don’t try it with someone that you barely know or just met.

Brain Freezing for Cold Market
If they are someone that I don’t know well, before I try asking them a prospecting question, I’ll brain freeze them with a question like this:
“Can I ask you a shot in the dark question?”
“Do you have a moment? I want to talk about something that’s quite important to me.”

What now?
After you brain freeze someone, ask them a prospecting question.
It could be the ever popular Ray Higdon  question:
“Are you at all open to a side project if it didn’t interfere with what you are currently doing?”

Or it could be any other prospecting question.

If you want your prospects to be listening to you with more intent and with an open mind, then use brain freezing to open the path of least resistance.

Create a great day!
