The Bad Habit That Is Ruining Your Life

The inspiration for this video was a Steve Harvey Audio. He has really change his game from being a stand up comic to really serving the world with wisdom and how to get ahead in life.

Are you “Chillin” too much?

A lot of people (in fact most people) are “chillin” even though they are where they want to be in life.
The moment people finish their job, they are “chillin”: at the bar having drinks or they are netflix binge watching. They just tap out for the rest of the day because “they’ve had a hard day and deserve a break”

Here’s a secret:
You don’t have to kill yourself working on your goals (even though it’s not a bad idea at least for a short while) but you could be doing something that really impacts and changes your future.

Achieve some balance: You don’t have to chill all evening and you don’t have to chill every day.

Life is like a road trip.

Steve makes a great comparison to life and driving from new york to LA.
I’m not sure how long it is but it’s probably 3-4 day drive depending on how fast and how much you drive each day.
You can get their 4 days and you can get their without killing yourself but if you take EVERY rest stop along the way, it will take you a forever and a day to get there.

No one has to do take EVERY rest stop. Once you have taken your first rest then you already:
– went to the bathroom
– got something to eat
– filled up your car.

If you want to get to your destination fast, then don’t stop at every rest stop.

If you want to get somewhere in life, don’t waste away your evenings and weekends.
Wasting your life away “chillin” is like taking EVERY rest stop along the high way. You’ll never get any where in life. You’ll be in the same spot, 6 months from now, 6 years from now or even 60 years from now.

Instead of chillin or watching TV, devote time to your future. Take some time every day that will bring you a little bit closer to your goals and dreams.

If you want to write a book then take at least 15 minutes each day to write. ANYONE can take 15 minutes a day and write a book and after 1 short year, your book is complete. It could be working your business, writing a blog, shooting a video, prospecting, improving yourself. Do something everyday. Some days you’ll do lots, most days you’ll do the the minimum but at least you are doing something.

The real test
If you keep doing what you are doing and keep getting the same results that you’ve been getting, where will you be in 5 years? Do you like that destination?
If you like the destination then cool, keep on doing it. If you want to get there faster, step up your game.

Are you chillin to much or are you working enough?

Just because you are sometimes working it doesn’t mean you are going fast enough. The problem is that we think we have time but we don’t. Time waits for no one.
If you like were you are today then keep chillin everyday. If you want to make a change your circumstances, make a change in your action.
