One of the biggest reasons why people aren’t getting the results that they are looking for in the profession of network marketing is because they are focusing on the wrong things.

They focus on the fact that they didn’t get any sales this month. Or that they didn’t advance rank. Or that their team isn’t working. They focus on things that they simply can’t control.

When you focus on the negative, you simply get more negativity and disappointment in your life. Instead of focusing on the things you can’t control, focus on the things that you can control.

Focus On Actions
If you are disappointed in your results, it’s because you lack the right kind and the right amount of action. If you are going to disappointed in anything at the end of the month, don’t be disappointed with your results, be disappointed in your actions. You can at least take responsibility for your actions because it’s something that you can control.

Start tracking your income producing activities (IPAs) . Like prospecting and inviting. When people start tracking their IPAs, many people realize how much work they aren’t actually doing. They think that they are working their business because they are studying about their product, or studying how to close sales or studying their company’s comp plan or presentation. Studying doesn’t make you any money, it’s not an IPA. People think they are working their business because they are attending all the trainings and presentations and webinars. These activities are important and you should keep doing them but they don’t make you any money and they aren’t IPAs.

If you want success in this profession then start focusing and tracking your IPAs.

The very act of tracking them will make you more aware of how much work you are actually doing. Also when you start tracking something, you start improving.

When human performance is measured, human performance improves.

Many people think they are working their business when they haven’t even reached out to one person to see if they are open in the past week or the past month. Instead of procrastinating the IPA’s by studying and cleaning, you’ll start taking action and making money. Small actions repeated will make a huge difference in your results. Even if you just start with 1 or 2 people a day, you’ll see how simple it is and start increasing your actions which will increase your results.

The difference between taking action and procrastinating is like night and day when it comes to your success. One gives you some chance of success but the other gives you no chance. If you take enough chances, you’ll eventually get success.

Give yourself a fighting chance at success and take action.

If you haven’t been doing the income producing activities, then start doing them daily. Even if you start with just one person a day, it can grow and develop into a habit that grows your business to time and financial freedom.
