They’d Be Dumb Not To Join You… Right?

joinWhat’s the main reason that people will join your team?
When MLM recruiting or MLM sponsoring, people think that others will join for the following reasons:
they like the company
they like the product/service
they like the compensation plan

Those are certainly factors when you are MLM recruiting but the biggest factor isn’t that the like the company, comp plan or service, it’s because they like you.

Don’t forget that.

People do business with people they know, like and trust.

Stop trying to cram hyped up information down your prospects throats when you are MLM prospecting it actually turns them off and it pushes them away.

Instead of focusing on the how cool the company is when you are MLM recruiting, be likable and be interesting. If they don’t like you, it doesn’t matter if your product is break through or that your opportunity is ground floor.

If they like the company but they don’t like you, then 2 things will happen.
1. They will join the company (that’s the good news)
2. They will join the company with someone else (that’s the bad news)
If they don’t like you, they’ll find someone else they can join with. I’m sure it’s not hard to find another rep in your company that your prospect would be happy to partner with.

How do you be likable?
If you want to be likable when you are MLM recruiting, you need to keep a couple things in mind. These are just some of the basics:

Smile: It’s a small thing but when you are talking with someone just smile. They will think that you are friendly.

Don’t bash: This goes without saying but so many people turn their prospects off by saying things like “jobs suck” or “school is a rip off” or “jobs are the real pyramid”

Don’t get into an argument with a prospect: If you get into an argument they will never join you. Even if you “prove” that you are right. No one would ever join someone that they dislike.

Focus on them: The best way to be interesting is to be interested. The focus of the conversation should be them. What are they looking for? Why do they want it? The bottom line is this, is if you focus on the prospect when you are MLM recruiting they are more apt to like you. People don’t join businesses they join people. People will join you not because they like the company, product, service or compensation plan. They will join you because they like you.
