Warm Market Prospecting
The life of a network marketer can get very frustrating if they don’t understand what determines whether your friends and family buy or join your team.
Have you ever wondered this?
If my product/service is so good then why won’t my friends buy it from me?
If my company is so good, then why won’t you friends join?
You have a great product or service that’s proven (maybe by clinical trials), you have a great company with a great track record, you have testimonials from people that use the product or service and you also have testimonials from people who have made life changing income but still your friends won’t buy or join. Most of them won’t even look.

If someone like Oprah or Bill Gates joined your company and recruited 100 people in the first 48 hours of joining. Many people would ask them:
What did you say to get all of those people to join?
What they don’t understand is what you say is as important as how your friends and your family perceive you. They might like you but that isn’t enough for them to join you.
If you work at the 7-11 (nothing wrong with that), your friends and family may not take your opinion seriously when it comes to business. It almost doesn’t matter what you say. You don’t have credibility. So chances are they won’t join.
Someone like Oprah on the other hand does have credibility. People take her opinion very seriously when it comes to business. It almost doesn’t matter what she says. People will think, “if it’s good enough for Oprah, it’s good enough for me.”
You’re either punished or rewarded for the life that you lead before network marketing. ~Eric Worre
If you are already influential, then almost anything you say will work. If you aren’t then the best things that you can do are:
1. Say less to more people
2. Be quick to disqualify.
If someone isn’t open then move on and talk to the next person.
Talking to more people will bring you more sales than trying to convince people to join or trying to fine tune your script.
You can always go back to those that said no after you have some results with either the product or business. The faster you get results, the better.
You go talk to your friend Bob about your business and he says no. You keep talking to more people and you get some sales and sign ups. You make $500 or $1000 in the next day or 2. You call up Bob again and say, “Bob, remember that thing I was talking to you about a couple days ago? I’ve already made an extra $500. Well, I know it’s not for you but do you know anyone that might want to have a look?”
Bob is more likely to take you seriously after you had success like that in a short period of time. He more likely to at least have a peek.
Sometimes, it’s not what you say or how you say it. Sometimes it’s all about their opinion of you that really matters.
