A big problem in network marketing is retention.
Most network marketers quit within their first 30 – 90 days.
It’s shame because you’ve worked so hard to recruit someone and it can feel disappointing and frustrating when they quit so quickly.
Your new rep wants to see results. They at least want their money back and they hopefully see some profit as soon as they can.
What most people do to train their new reps
Most network marketers, when they first recruit someone in their business, they say this, “Make a list of people you know, invite them to see the presentation and let me know how it turns out.”
That will not work for most network marketers especially if they are new and they will end up quitting.
If you want your rep to have a thriving business, you’ll have to take a different approach to MLM Training.
Don’t tell them what to do, SHOW them what to do.
In MLM Training, the first thing you should do is book a strategy session with your new business partner within the first 24 to 48 hours of them joining.
Tell them to bring a list people they knowand you’ll show them how to get started quickly.
At the strategy session, show them a script, have them practice it with you a couple times. After that have them make a phone call while you listen so you can evaluate and give feed back. This will improve their performance and give them confidence for the next call.
Do that with the first 1-5 calls. If your script is good and if your new business partner has some confidence (that’s why you practice with them) then they should get a least one sale or at least one person agree to see a presentation.

Once you’ve done that, leave them for 20-45 mins and have them make calls without you. Some people tend to do better if they don’t have someone breathing down their necks.
If you’ve done everything properly, 3 things will happen:
1. Your rep will make money
2. Your rep will have some appointments set up for business presentations.
3. Your rep will have a new sense of excitement and confidence (this one is the most important!)
Your time is valuable so make sure that you book your strategy session to be about 60 mins. You won’t have time for your new business partner to call their entire list, but you will be able to help them get some results. Your new business partner will be more likely to finish calling their list within the next day or two because they’ve seen and felt results and they’ll want to do more.
What happens if you don’t do this?
If you don’t make calls with your new business partner, they’ll likely never make the calls. They’ll procrastinate. They’ll think they have to study up on the company and watch some company videos so that they “know enough” to make the calls. They may make 1-2 calls in their first week but that simply isn’t enough. If you don’t sit down with them and SHOW them how to get started quickly, they will more than likely quit.
