Why Action Alone Isn’t Enough


Do Your Best
Many network marketers want to know,

“What do I need to do in order to succeed?”

You can prospect, present to and do follow ups to 100 or even 1000 people each day and even if your are following the scripts and the systems exactly, it will be a total waste of time if you aren’t trying your best.

“It is not the how to, but how you do the how to” ~ unknown

You must work hard and do your very best whenever you take action in your business. It is not enough to merely do the actions. To succeed, you must do the actions with your very best effort.

Doing Your Best
The reason why I bring this up is because of musician that I had the privilege to see perform by the name of Davie Howes on my cruise in the Mediterranean.

It was the last night of the cruise and many people were tired. I imagine that most just wanted to have an early night and rest up for the next day. I went to Davis’s last show and it was pretty late.

The theater was only about 1/3 full and it looked very empty because everyone was very spread out. At first, I felt sorry for Davie. The first minute or so felt very low energy but Davie didn’t let a small crowd stop him from giving us an incredible show. He did his best and performed with passion. As a result the crowd really enjoyed themselves.

People Join People
People don’t buy products they buy people.

People don’t join companies they join people.

If you are prospecting, presenting or following up and you are doing your best, then you won’t seem to be the type of person that your prospect wants to buy from or join.

Low Attendance
If you have a home party or a webinar or a hotel presentation planned and you have low attendance do the presentation as if you had a packed house.

What if the one (and only) person that showed up is super affluent and influential and could have been your next big leader only they didn’t join because you didn’t do your best when you presented?

You never know when you are going to meet your next leader.

If you are doing a webinar and you hoped hundreds or at least dozens of people would show and only 3 (or even nobody) show up, you should still do your best and make sure that you record it. When you are doing your best, you never know when you are giving the best presentation of your life and that could be the webinar recording that you use for months or years to come.

I would rather see you be your best for the wrong person rather than be mediocre for the right person.
